mark hamn a very "simple" man, studies at the university of lecce (south italy) and is about to graduate in musical heritage. francesco giannico is his real name. on maetrixsolution he prooves once again to be a very good laptop musician. the six-track album on maetrixsolution is something like a cineastic journey which pushes the boundaries of the digital instrument by incorporating smooth melodies and gentle textures even further. the "function button" album - with its typical maetrix front cover - is made mainly by pushing buttons. mark's guitar and piano is constantly present within his interrupted structures, making this album more accessible, yet without any lack of textural innovations. a piece of music which is highly recommended to anyone interested in discovering his work as much as it is a must have for those already in tune with his macromusic.

I second that!!!
Very intuative work. I was impressed with the range of textures and dynamics all used without compromising the depth of feeling. Very tasty indeed.
